Man and his mother killed in road accident at Bagan Serai

IPOH: A mother and her son were killed after their lorry crashed into a car at Bagan Serai on Sunday (Jan 8).

According to the Perak Fire and Results Department spokesman, they received the distress call around 7.30pm at Kampun Kedai 2, Semanggol in Bagan Serai.

“Upon arriving, the two victims were stuck in the vehicle and we had to use special tools to retrieve their bodies.

“The victims have been identified as 37-year-old Shahren Ismail who was driving and his mother Zainab Alias, 64,” he said.

He added that the driver of the car suffered minor injuries.
