Covid-19 Watch: 367 new cases, says Health Ministry


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 367 new Covid-19 infections on Wednesday (Jan 11), says the Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry said through data released on its KKMNow portal on Thursday (Jan 12) that this brings the new total to 5,031,443 cases since the pandemic began.

Of the 367, there are two imported cases and the remaining 365 are local.

The ministry also said through its KKMNow portal that there were 398 recoveries on Wednesday, bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 11,372.

Of the active cases, 95.4% or 10,846 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 4.4% of active cases or 502 individuals need to be hospitalised, with 24 warded in intensive care units (ICU) throughout the country.

Of that number, 12 require ventilator support.
