Former state secretary heads Negri Ruler’s honours list


Honour recipients: DCP Ahmad Dzaffir, Arokiasamy and Sim.

SEREMBAN: Recently retired state secretary Datuk Dr Razali Ab Malik and state Islamic Religious Council (MAINS) chairman Datuk Dr Abdul Aziz Sheikh Ab Kadir head the list of recipients of titles and awards in conjunction with the 75th birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir today.

Both will be conferred the Darjah Seri Setia Negri Sembilan Yang Amat Cemerlang (SSNS), which carries the Datuk Seri title, at the Istana Besar Seri Menanti in Kuala Pilah.

High Court judge Azizul Azmi Adnan, MAINS Corporation chairman Razman Hafidz Abu Zarim and Telekom Malaysia Group chief executive officer and managing director Shazril Imri Mokhtar will be bestowed the Darjah Datuk Paduka Negri Sembilan (DPNS), which carries the title Datuk.

Three individuals will be conferred the Darjah Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Gemilang (DSTM), which also carries the title Datuk.

They are Luak Gunung Pasir penghulu Hanizam Harun, Ting Dental Surgery managing director Dr Ting Choon Ee and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin pro-chancellor Datuk Tunku Nooruddin Tunku Datuk Seri Shahabuddin.

Another 15 individuals will receive the Darjah Setia Bakti Negri Sembilan (DBNS), which also comes with a Datukship.

They are state police chief Deputy Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff, state Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers chairman Arokiasamy Thangaraju, Lexis Hotel Group president Chew Siok Cheng, Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital head of obstetrics and gynaecology Dr Krishna Kumar Hari Krishnan, Lai Keen Choy Ent Sdn Bhd managing director Lai Keen Choy, Sime Darby Property Bhd property development CEO Mohd Sohimin Mohd Alayedin, Negri Sembilan Foundation director Muhammad Nazri Kassim and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia pro-vice chancellor Prof Roslee Rajikan.

Others include deputy state secretary (management) Rozitta Sulaiman, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia vice-chancellor Prof Sharifudin Md Shaarani, state PKR treasurer Sim Keng Piao, Delima Sejahtera director Sulaiman Ahmad, Armed Forces chief signals officer Brig-Jen T. Azharan T. Putra, Cell Quest Sdn Bhd director Teong Long Hee and TJH director Dr Zaleha Md Noor.

Sixteen people will receive the Darjah Setia Negri Sembilan (DNS), Darjah Pekerti Terpilih (22), Ahli Setia Negri Sembilan (69), Setiawan Tuanku Muhriz (three), Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang Masyarakat (139), Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (241), Bentara Tuanku Muhriz (14) and Pingat Khidmat Lama (13).

Apart from today’s event, the awards and titles will be given out to the recipients during two other sessions to be held on Jan 31 and Feb 7.
