Senior citizen found burnt to death after fire razes six houses in village near Teluk Intan


IPOH: A senior citizen was found burnt to death after a fire razed six houses at a fishing village in Hutan Melintang, near Teluk Intan here on Monday (Jan 16).

A Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received a distress call at 6.42am about the fire at the houses on Jalan Bagan Ikan.

He said the 80-year-old man was found in the second room of one of the houses, while another 24-year-old man sustained injuries to his knees trying to escape the blaze.

He said two cars and a motorcycle were also damaged due to the fire.
