Gopal Sri Ram admitted to ICU with lung infection, says report


PETALING JAYA: Veteran lawyer Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram, who led the prosecution in former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak's 1MDB graft trial, was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday (Jan 18).

Gopal is receiving treatment for a lung infection, Sinar Harian reported.

The Malay language daily also reported that a source had confirmed that the 79-year-old former Federal Court judge, had been admitted to the ICU via a WhatsApp message.

The source declined to provide any further details when pressed by Sinar Harian.
