Let unity keep us strong together, PM says in CNY message

PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Malaysians to continue empowering one another in the spirit of unity.

“As a free and mature country, it is time for the rakyat of all races to be empowered in our beloved Malaysia.

“In that regard, let us all celebrate together the festival that is important to the Chinese community.

“Gong Xi Fa Cai, Happy New Year, Xin Nian Hao,” he said in a video by the Prime Minister’s Office on Friday (Jan 20).

The video features a rabbit named Miki persevering through any challenges that come its way.

The video shows that there will always be a silver lining after all the hardships Malaysians have gone through and reminds viewers to never give up.

The Chinese community will usher in the Year of the Rabbit on Sunday (Jan 22).
