King, Queen: May CNY celebrations strengthen unity, goodwill and tolerance among M'sians


PETALING JAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah have extended their greetings to Malaysians who are celebrating Chinese New Year.

In their Chinese New Year greetings, Their Majesties expressed hope that this special day would bring joy, prosperity, well-being and long-lasting health to those who celebrate it.

"Their Majesties also expressed the hope that this kind of celebration will continue to strengthen the unity, spirit of goodwill and tolerance among Malaysians of various races and religions," said a post on Istana Negara's official Facebook page on Saturday (Jan 21)

Chinese New Year celebration begins Sunday (Jan 22), ushering in the Year of the Rabbit.
