Fight kicks off between ex-football coach's two wives at Shah Alam restaurant

SHAH ALAM: The situation at a restaurant here descended into chaos on Monday (Jan 23) when two women, both the wives of a former football coach, got into a fight on Monday (Jan 23) morning.

In a statement Monday night, Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the fight occurred in a restaurant here and led to one pulling the hair of the other. It then continued outside the restaurant.

A report by the second wife was lodged on Monday following the fight.

"Investigations showed that the fight occurred after the suspect (first wife) felt slighted by the complainant's comments on the 'Family Dou' programme.

"She was also angry that the other woman had married her husband without her knowledge," ACP Mohd Iqbal said, adding that the suspect had also lodged a police report on Monday.

All parties, including the former football coach, have been called in to have their statements recorded and investigations are ongoing.

The case is being investigated under Section 160 of the Penal Code and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act, ACP Mohd Iqbal added.
