KLANG: Sacked former Umno stalwart Tan Sri Noh Omar (pic) says he'd rather be booted out of the party than be in cahoots with its top leadership.
"The president and the current leadership may bury Umno and as far as I am concerned, it is better for me to be sacked as opposed to being suspended.
"Because to me, Umno currently, under the leadership of the president, will not adhere to the law or party constitution and they will do as they like to further their personal interests," said Noh.
Appearing calm and collected, Noh conveyed his message in a video recording posted to his Twitter account on Saturday (Jan 28).
He added it was truly sad that others, such as Khairy Jamaluddin, Umno Youth vice-president Shahril Hamdan and Sembrong MP Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein were also affected.

Khairy was sacked whilst Shahril and Hishammuddin were suspended six years each.
According to Noh, the action was initiated against leaders who were brave enough to be vocal, as the party president did not like them speaking up.

Noh said he and the others, who had faced disciplinary action, were merely giving their opinion in the best interests of Umno.
Earlier in the video, Noh said the Umno supreme council meeting on Friday (Jan 27) night had created "extraordinary" history by suspending him for six years.
"How could this decision have been made when I had already received a show cause letter and was scheduled to face the disciplinary board on Monday?" Noh asked.

Noh added he had asked to be sacked when his suspension was announced, because the decision to suspend him was already made prior to him going before the disciplinary board.
In an earlier tweet, Noh said he was unwilling to leave Umno but chose not to be in cahoots with leaders who were destroying the party.
"I spoke up, but at the end was punished without being given the chance to defend myself," he had added.
