DATUK Seri Siti Nurhaliza (pic) wowed Malaysians with a near-perfect rendition of a Tamil song during the AR Rahman: Secret of Success Live in Malaysia 2023 concert at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, reported Utusan Malaysia.

The Pahang-born superstar performed the classic Munbe Vaa with popular Indian vocalist Haricharan Seshadri.

In an interview before her performance, Siti said she was honoured to be given the chance to perform alongside the legendary Indian musician.

Siti’s stunning performance captivated the audience of close to 60,000, who erupted with thunderous applause and wild cheers as soon as the 44-year-old Malaysian idol appeared on stage.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail were among the audience.

> Despite a burning desire to work, a pair of siblings with dwarfism continue to have a hard time landing a job since finishing secondary school in Pekan, Pahang, reported Harian Metro.

Mohd Zulhanif Abd Halim, 23, said neither he nor his sister Zurin Hazlien, 19, could find work because of their physical limitations.

“I really want to help my family, especially with my father’s heart problems,” said Mohd Zulhanif, who is keeping his fingers crossed that his recent interview for an equipment operator post at an electronics factory would be successful.

Standing at 115cm, he said that despite their status as persons with disabilities, they would continue to improve themselves in hopes of landing a job.

“My sister and I have computer skills and we plan to attend an employment preparation skills course soon.

“I appeal to government and private agencies for any opportunities for us. We want to be independent and work,” the second of four siblings said.

Zurin, who is 103cm tall and does not have SPM qualifications, said she was eager to pursue any job opportunities.
