Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said Inspector Chong Yeong Ren, 29, died of severe head injuries in the 11.30pm incident at KM5 of Jalan Palekbang-Tumpat near Wakaf King on Sunday.

“The victim was heading home in Kampung Terbak, several kilometres away, when he lost control of his vehicle. He was pinned to the driver’s seat and died at the scene. His body was taken to the Tumpat hospital for a post-mortem,” he said in a statement yesterday, Bernama reported.
