KLANG: The Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, attended a reception hosted by British monarch King Charles III recently.

Tengku Amir Shah attended the event in his capacity as the royal patron of the Selangor Youth Community (SAY).

Held at Buckingham Palace last Wednesday, the reception was also attended by representatives of various organisations covering charities, the arts, media, healthcare and businesses from South-East Asia.

According to the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page, Tengku Amir Shah and King Charles III have been in collaboration for the last three years in efforts to help more than 100 high-risk youths achieve access through job opportunities and education. The cooperation was made possible through the collaboration between SAY and the Prince’s Trust International (PTI), it added.

The event was hosted by King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla to commemorate the contributions of East and South-East Asian communities to Britain.

The King’s siblings, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, were also at the event attended by around 300 guests.
