Covid-19 Watch: 255 new cases, says Health Ministry


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 255 new Covid-19 infections on Friday (Feb 10), says the Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry said through data released on its KKMNow portal on Saturday (Feb 11) that this brings the new total to 5,039,067 cases since the pandemic began.

Of the 255, there are three imported cases and the remaining 252 are local.

The ministry also said through its KKMNow portal that there were 306 recoveries on Friday bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 9,731.

Of the active cases, 96.5% or 9,392 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 3.4% of active cases or 327 individuals need to be hospitalised, with 12 warded in intensive care units (ICU) throughout the country.

Out of the 12, five in ICU require ventilator support.
