Two boys drown in drain in Ukay Perdana


PETALING JAYA: Two kids were believed to have drowned after playing in a drain in Jalan Ukay Perdana.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis, when contacted, said that search and rescue efforts were launched at the scene at 5.08pm Saturday (Feb 11).

The first body, a 10-year-old boy, was found at 6.30pm around 200m from the scene of the drowning.

The second boy has been identified as an eight-year-old boy.

“They were playing in the drain. There is a possibility that they slipped during the rain,” he said.
