Woman, 37, killed in hit-and-run accident near PJ school


PETALING JAYA: A 37-year-old woman was killed after a motorcycle crashed into her and her son.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin said the incident occurred near a school along Jalan PJS2/2 on Tuesday.

"At around 5.30pm, the victim and her son were crossing the road when a motorcycle crashed into them. The woman suffered serious head injuries and was sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for treatment but succumbed to her injuries on Feb 15.

"Meanwhile, her 10-year-old child suffered light injuries to the lips," he said in a statement on Thursday (Feb 16).

Witnesses are urged to contact traffic investigating officer Insp Muhammad Hisyam Azih at 017-737 8704 or their nearest police station.
