Quality of Menu Rahmah in Kelantan assured, says ministry

KOTA BHARU: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) in Kelantan has given its assurance that Menu Rahmah introduced by 30 stall operators in the state is of quality.

Kelantan KPDN director Azman Ismail said basically the Rahmah Menu sold at the premises involved is the same as before the initiative was introduced.

"On its quality (Rahmah Menu), we are actually eating the same thing, for example, mixed rice, what is offered at the price of Rahmah Menu is also offered for other regular meals, there is no difference in quality.

"In terms of cleanliness and quality, the relevant departments such as the Kota Bharu Municipal Council and the Ministry of Health (KKM) have confirmed that it is their job to ensure that health and safety are guaranteed," he said.

He said this at a press conference after a Rahmah Menu walkabout at Ayang Kafe, here on Sunday (Feb 19).

Commenting further, Azman said as many as 31 stall operators in Kota Bharu, Pasir Mas and Tumpat have registered with Kelantan KPDN as of today to introduce Rahmah Menu.

"There are 31 stall operators who have agreed to introduce Rahmah Menu in their respective premises. There is no compulsion as to how many menus they want to prepare as the Rahmah Menu.

"The number of stall operators introducing Rahmah Menu is the highest in Kota Bharu," he said.- Bernama
