Dr M now a Putra member

PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) along with 13 other former members of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) have officially joined Parti Bumiputera Perkasa Malaysia (Putra).

Former member of Pejuang centre executive council Armin Baniaz Pahamin confirmed the matter through a Facebook post on Friday.

“All are welcome to register for membership and continue their political struggle under Putra.

“Our mission and goals need to be clear in order to succeed. The main struggle is for the unity of the Malay people, parties and organisations,” he said.

The former premier recently announced his exit from Pejuang, the party he formed in 2020, along with 12 other members.

He had been party chairman until he resigned from the post in December last year.
