KL cops looking into fight stemming from near-accident

GOMBAK: A police investigation has been launched after a fight broke out after an accident nearly occurred, footage of which has gone viral.

In a statement on Tuesday (Feb 28), Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Mohamed Mohamed said that the 54-second video is believed to have been shot at Jalan Timur in Kampung Selayang Pandang on Jan 19.

"Preliminary investigations showed that the incident stemmed when one of the suspects almost caused an accident, leading to an argument between two people. A third suspect then got involved and a fight broke out.

"As of now, no police report has been filed. One of the three, a 23-year-old man, has been brought to the station to assist investigations," he said.

Investigations are underway to locate the others involved.

Those with information on the case are urged to contact investigating officer Insp Khalpana Rajandhiran at 012-501 8901 or 03-6126 2222.
