Water supply to resume in stages for 14 Hulu Langat areas

PETALING JAYA: Works to repair a burst pipe in Persiaran Pekeliling, Seksyen 3, Bandar Baru Bangi, have been completed after the incident caused an unscheduled water cut early Tuesday (Feb 28) morning.

A total of 14 areas in the Hulu Langat district in Selangor were without water from 6.30am.

Air Selangor said in a statement on its website that supply to those areas would resume in stages and was expected to be fully restored by midnight.

"The duration of supply resumption will depend on the location and distance from the consumers' premises.

"We will continue to mobilise water tankers and prioritise critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral services," it said.

Earlier, Air Selangor announced an unscheduled disruption in Sections 1 to 16, Bandar Baru Bangi, Sungai Tangkas, Alam Sari, UKM, Kampung Bahagia, Kajang Impian, Taman Sri Melor and Taman Intan.

Other areas affected were Taman Kajang Mewah, Taman Putra, Perumahan Jalan Wan Siew, Desa Surada, Sungai Ramal Dalam and Taman Semarak.

"The public can find updates on the Air Selangor app, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as our careline at 15300.

"Enquiries and complaints can also be made via the Help Centre at www.airselangor.com and our app," it said.
