Condo drug lab raided

MELAKA: The Melaka police have busted a drug syndicate that turned a condominium unit here into a mini-processing lab.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Zainol Samah said two local men, aged 24 and 35, were arrested during an early morning raid on Feb 23.

“The suspects had rented the unit to pack and distribute syabu to addicts around Batu Pahat in Johor,” DCP Zainol told a press conference yesterday.

The syndicate, he said, had used Melaka as its hub to supply the substance to addicts in the district.

He said the police had also confiscated drugs valued at about RM100,000.
