GEORGE TOWN: A 33-year-old-man has been arrested for injuring a policeman with a butcher knife here.
Penang police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the suspect was arrested at 3.40am on Wednesday (March 1) at a condominium near Lengkok Angsana, Ayer Itam.
"Police confiscated the knife used by the suspect as well as 30 plastic bags containing heroin weighing about 210g," he said during a press conference at Penang Hospital here on Wednesday (March 1).

"The suspect admitted that he did not have a licence.
"However, after further checks, the suspect acted aggressively and slashed the victim with a knife which he took from a house near where he was stopped," he said.
He said the suspect, who later tested positive for drugs, left his motorcycle at the scene and tried to run away on foot but was caught at about 3.40am at a nearby condominium area.
