Perikatan ready to welcome Annuar Musa with open arms, says Hadi

PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional is ready to welcome Tan Sri Annuar Musa with open arms, says PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.

"We welcome him with open arms as he's a charismatic leader who understands politics and makes good decisions," Abdul Hadi said at a press conference on Tuesday (Feb 28) after the launch of the book Fiqh Siasah Abdul Hadi Awang.

Abdul Hadi added that the former Ketereh MP was a capable leader who is knowledgeable about local politics.

“He will make his own decision,” said Abdul Hadi.

Annuar - who is the president of NGO Muafakat Nasional - decided to take a three-month "rest" from politics after being sacked by the Umno supreme council last December.

However, Annuar had said on Monday (Feb 27) that he was now considering his choices and was ready to join any political party.

Meanwhile, Abdul Hadi said he was optimistic about Perikatan's chances due to political developments since the 15th General Election (GE15).

"Some Umno members have joined Perikatan and we now have Perlis. We are on the rise in Pahang and Perak," he added.
