Selangor has not approved PJD Link, no proposal for changes received, says MB

KUALA LUMPUR: The Selangor government has not given any approvals to developers of the Petaling Jaya Dispersal Elevated Highway (PJD Link), says Datuk Seri Amiruddin Shari.

"There's no approval from the state government. The approval for development previously came from Putrajaya.

"The state government has not received any proposed changes for the PJD Link," the Selangor Mentri Besar said at a press conference in Parliament on Wednesday (March 1).

Amiruddin said the developers of PJD Link had given them their word that they would avoid any public complaints and change any aspects brought up by Petaling Jaya residents.

"So for now, there is no PJD Link in our planning – except when they came to us to initiate the plans," he added.

In a Parliamentary reply earlier on Wednesday, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi had said the PJD Link concessionaire had yet to fulfil all conditions specified in the concession agreement.

Nanta Linggi said the concessionaire was actively carrying out environmental impact assessment (EIA), traffic impact assessment (TIA) and social impact assessment (SIA) without any physical activity on site.

Nanta Linggi also said that the contents of the concession agreement were classified under the Official Secrets Act (OSA).

PJD Link is the renamed Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex).

It is a 34.3km elevated dual-lane toll expressway connecting the NKVE along the Sprint Highway to the Bukit Jalil Highway Interchange.
