Cops urge Lukut murder case witnesses to come forward


PORT DICKSON: Police are appealing for eyewitnesses as it probes the murder of a 38-year-old man who was stabbed in front of a food court in Lukut.

District deputy police chief Deputy Supt Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said police received a call from a member of the public at around 7.35pm on Wednesday (March 1) to alert them of the incident.

"When police reached the area, they found the victim unconscious and bleeding profusely in the parking area.

"A medical team from the Lukut health clinic who arrived shortly after pronounced the victim dead," he said in a statement.

He said the victim's remains have been sent to the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital in Seremban for a post-mortem.

Police are still investigating the motive of the murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
