SEREMBAN: The flood situation in Negri Sembilan has worsened slightly with 807 victims from 209 families moved to 11 temporary relief centres as of 8am on Thursday (March 2).
State Civil Defense chief Lt Kol Mohd Nazri Mes Kam said the highest number of victims were reported in Tampin with 595 people.
He said five relief centres have been opened in the district.
These were Sek Agama Rakyat Jelai 4, SK Gedok, Sk Sg Kelamah, Pasir Besar community hall and SK Londah.
"A total of 158 families have been moved to the five centres in Tampin.
"The SK Sg Kelamah centre now has 524 individuals from 135 families," he said.
Four centres have been set up in Jempol which currently houses 152 individuals from 38 families.
These were SK Palong 1, SK Palong 7, SK Rompin and SJKT Ladang Sialang.
Mohd Nazri said two relief centres have also been opened in Kuala Pilah which currently houses 60 individuals from 23 families.
The two centres were at Desa Dangi hall and SK Pilah.
