AFTER the heartbreak of having her marriage shattered, actress Puteri Sarah Liyana (pic) is hoping for a clean divorce from her husband, director Syamsul Yusof.

Kosmo! reported that the 37-year-old actress had thought long and hard regarding the decision and hoped to end things smoothly on March 7 at the Kuala Lumpur Syariah Court.

March 7 is also their ninth wedding anniversary, she said.

“I hope to be released from this (situation) so I can move on. I also hope that the court will rule in my favour,” she added.

She also voiced hesitance at having to undergo a lengthy legal process, adding that she hoped for cooperation from her husband.

On custody of their two children, Puteri Sarah said she would leave it to her lawyer and Syamsul’s to discuss the matter.

“He knows I want to look after the children. Whenever I work, my parents and in-laws can take turns to watch over them,” she said, adding that she on good terms with her in-laws.

In January, Syamsul sent shockwaves through the local entertainment scene by announcing his marriage to actress Ira Kazar in Thailand, and that she is his second wife.

> It was truly a moment to remember for Mohammad Syauqi when he completed his marriage ceremony while lying in bed, Harian Metro reported.

The 31-year-old was involved in a road accident earlier this year.

In a viral video, Mohammad Syauqi was shown at his akad nikah (marriage solemnisation) ceremony with his wife Nordalilah Muhammad Rosli, 29.

“Of course I was nervous (at the ceremony) as any groom would be. The thing I wanted most was to stand next to my wife and greet my guests, family members and friends.

“But given the circumstances, I could only lie in bed, but that was good enough for me,” he added.

Nordalilah said she knew her husband was determined to go through with the ceremony, which gave her the strength to push through as well.

“The look on my husband’s face was as if he never went through the accident. He could still smile and showed emotions despite being unable to move,” she added.

She said discussions were held with both sides of the family, with all agreeing not to postpone the ceremony.
