Ten-year-old boy feared drowned in Pekan


KUANTAN: A 10-year-old boy is feared to have drowned after being reported missing at Sungai Pasir, Kampung Seri Makmur in Chini, Pekan on Wednesday (Mar ch 1),

Pekan Fire and Rescue Station chief Wan Samsul Effendi Wan Mahmud, in a statement here today, said the victim, Muhammad Hafizhan Abd Zaib, was believed to have gone missing at 2.50 pm.

The search and rescue operation that started yesterday afternoon was carried out by the Water Rescue Team (PPDA) from the Pekan Fire and Rescue Station within 200 metres of where the victim was reported missing.
