Floods: Over 100 victims evacuated in Sg Buloh


SUNGAI BULOH: A total of 82 people from 17 families have been evacuated to relief centres due to flooding in Kampung Kubu Gajah on Friday (March 3) night.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Hafisham Mohd Noor said water levels rose to three feet before the rain subsided early Saturday morning.

Families affected by the flooding have been housed at relief centres in SK Merbau Sempak and Desa Coalfield.

"A total of 26 people were also evacuated from Kampung Sri Ama Taman while 130 were rescued from Saujana Aman," he said when contacted on Saturday (March 4).
