Actor who allegedly hit wife surrenders to cops


PETALING JAYA: The actor who allegedly hit his wife has surrendered to the police, say Selangor police.

State police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said that the suspect was arrested on Saturday (March 4).

"He turned himself in was arrested yesterday. He was granted police bail after his statement was recorded.

"The case will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor soon," he said when contacted.

The actor had allegedly hit his wife at a rest area in Sungai Buloh, resulting in injuries to her cheek.

The victim then lodged a report on Thursday (March 2).
