Dr Wee pleased to see well-stocked flood relief centres in Yong Peng

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong was relieved to learn that flood victims in Yong Peng have an adequate supply of goods for their needs.

"I am pleased to see sufficient stock of necessities," The MCA president said in a Facebook post on Sunday (March 5).

The Ayer Hitam MP also said apart from donations from the public, they had also received funds from Buddhist organisation Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Malaysia.

He said he visited the Sekolah Agama Yong Peng relief centre which is currently housing 375 victims from 107 families.

"I also visited the SMK Dato' Seth Yong Peng with 329 victims from 74 families.

"There are also 70 SPM candidates from Ayer Hitam who are affected by the floods.

"I also visited the Dewan Orang Ramai Yong Peng with 319 victims from 108 families at this moment.

"At SK Yong Peng, there are another 255 victims from 70 families," Dr Wee said.

Besides that, he said the SJKC Yong Peng 1 facility was housing 794 victims from 255 families.
