Driver high on drugs crashes into lorry on Jalan Ipoh


KUALA LUMPUR: A 25-year-old driver, who was allegedly high on drugs, crashed his car into a lorry after falling unconscious at the wheel.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai said in a statement that the accident occurred along Jalan Ipoh on March 3.

"The impact of the crash caused the lorry to hit a motorcycle, resulting in the rider falling to the ground.

“Traffic police officers who arrived at the scene saw the driver of the car and a passenger unconscious inside.

"Both were sent for urine tests at the Dang Wangi police headquarters. They were found to have tested positive for methamphetamine, ketamin, benzodoazepine (Erimin 5) amphetamine and THC," he said, adding that the case was being investigated by Dang Wangi police.
