Explain plans on stopping race politics, Dr Wee Asks National Unity Ministry

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong calls for the National Unity Ministry to explain its plans in stopping politics that play on race, religion and personal sentiments.

The Ayer Hitam MP said he wanted to bring this question up in Dewan Rakyat on Monday (March 6) but time had run out.

"I was all ready to ask my question, which is question number 15 for today’s Dewan Rakyat Q&A session but unfortunately, time ran out and the session had to stop at question number 14.

"My question was for the National Unity Minister to state the national reconciliation plan aimed at getting rid of revenge politics and eradicating politics that play up racial and religious sentiments," he said on Facebook.

National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said last Friday (March 3) that Malaysia has placed 18th out of 163 countries in the Global Peace Index showing that unity level among Malaysians is quite high.
