Queen visits Hospital Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom in Cameron Highlands

CAMERON HIGHLANDS: Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah on Monday (March 6) visited the Hospital Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom here.

Her Majesty arrived at the hospital compound at about 10.15am and was welcomed by Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa and Pahang health director Datuk Dr Nor Azimi Yunus, as well as the hospital staff.

Also in attendance were Cameron Highlands MP Datuk Ramli Md Nor and state Public Work, Transport and Health Committee chairman Datuk Mohammad Fakhruddin Mohd Ariff.

Tunku Azizah was at the hospital, which began operation in 2007, for about an hour.

Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom Hospital currently has a capacity of 40 beds, four wards, four delivery rooms and two operating theatres.

The hospital has a staff of 229 people, including 16 medical officers, 58 nurses and 20 assistant medical officers.- Bernama
