Two men nabbed for molesting 12-year-old girl


HULU SELANGOR: Two men were detained for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl at a mosque's toilet and at one of the suspect's house in Bukit Sentosa.

Hulu Selangor deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus said police received a report on the matter at 4.53pm on Friday (March 3).

"Initial investigations showed that the suspects were believed to have shown their private parts to the victim," he said in a statement.

He said the two suspects, aged 56 and 74, were detained in different locations on Friday.

"Both men tested negative for drugs and they have no prior criminal records.

"They have been remanded until Friday (March 10)," he added

DSP Mohd Asri said the case is being investigated under Section 14(A) and Section 15(A)(i) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

"We advise the public not to speculate or issue misleading statements on the matter.

"We also advise against spreading unverified news. Refer to the police for the correct information," he said.
