PETALING JAYA: Nine years since the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, the wife of a flight attendant aboard the ill-fated plane says his voice is still fresh in her mind.
Intan Maizura Othaman, 43, whose husband Mohd Hazrin Mohamed Hasnan was among the 239 crew and passengers aboard the plane that has been missing since March 8, 2014, said this in a heart-wrenching tribute to her husband on the ninth anniversary of the plane’s disappearance yesterday.
“The last time I heard your voice was nine years ago, and guess what? I still remember how it sounds, nine years later.
“It’s still fresh and will forever be music to my ears.
“You may be gone, but never forgotten. My love, my heart, my soul, always and forever,” she said in a video, reported by mStar, The Star’s Malay language portal.
Intan Maizura, who has two children with Mohd Hazrin prays that her husband has been blessed and placed among the righteous.
Touching further on death and loss, Intan Maizura, who is an entrepreneur and insurance agent, said it was something that was not expected at all.
“Because when they are gone, it’s too late; you can’t say anything. The only thing you can do now is appreciate them,” she said.
Intan Maizura also advised wives to apologise to their husbands for any wrongdoing, as no one can predict when death would come.
Intan Maizura, who was expecting her second child at the time the MH370 plane went missing, said her nine-year-old son, Muhammad, only knows his father through pictures and videos.
“My son never got to see his papa’s face.
“But he knew it was his papa from a young age because we showed him pictures and videos of him since he was a baby,” said Intan Maizura, who also has a 14-year-old daughter, Iman.
