KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Razarudin Husain will continue to serve as Deputy Inspector General of Police for another two years.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said Razarudin, who was scheduled to retire on March 15, would serve on a contractual basis until March 15, 2025.
He said that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had consented to the appointment.
“Under Clauses 4 and 5 of Article 140 of the Federal Constitution, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong with the advice of the Prime Minister has approved the appointment on a contractual basis,” Saifuddin said in a statement.
