Umno polls: Wan Rosdy leading vice-president race


KUALA LUMPUR: Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail is leading in the Umno vice-president race.

As of 7pm Saturday (March 18), he has secured 21 votes from 189 divisions.

Incumbent vice-president Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin is trailing with 16 votes.

Titiwangsa division chief Datuk Seri Johari Ghani has secured 14 votes so far.

For now, the number of votes received by other contenders is as follows: Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said (nine), Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican (eight), Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad (six), and Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid (three).

The other contender, Yusof Musa, has yet to get any votes.

For the supreme council position, Datuk Seri Shamsul Anuar Nasarah is leading the race with 10 votes, followed by Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin and Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir with nine votes respectively.
