Up to 60% discount on traffic summonses offered until end of March


KUALA LUMPUR: The police are offering a discount on selected traffic summonses from Monday (March 20) until the end of the month in conjunction with the Police Day celebration.

The announcement made on the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Facebook page on Sunday (March 19) said that the offer would last until March 31.

It is valid for in-person payments at all traffic summons payment counters of district police headquarters (IPD) and contingent police headquarters (IPK) and through the MyBayar Saman app.

Discounts of up to 60% will be offered, it said.

It also said that selected traffic offences would not be eligible, which include offences in the non-compoundable (NC) category, emergency lane offences, accidents offences, dangerous overtaking, overtaking at double-line, beating the red traffic light, exhaust modifications, cases with trial status and offences related to heavy vehicles.
