NOTHING can stop you when you believe in your abilities to inspire and achieve great things.
This was exemplified by fashion model Siti Nur Aisyah Shahimee, 24, who has Down Syndrome, and one of the 10 models from the Down Syndrome Association of Malaysia who walked the runway for World Saree Day Malaysia (WSDM) recently.
“I have a YouTube channel where I share videos about my fashion career for my family and friends to watch,” she told Utusan Malaysia.
Nur Aisyah said she was not ashamed to share the videos and said she shoped it would inspire those from the Down Syndrome community to speak out and be brave.
World Saree Day director Bkay Nair said the event this year was aimed at raising awareness on those with Down Syndrome and showcasing their hidden talents to the world.
