TAN Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini is the new chairman of UDA Holdings Berhad (UDA) effective March 23, 2023 – replacing Datuk Norliza Abdul Rahim.

Mohd Annuar holds a master's degree in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University in Massachusetts, and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

He began his career as an administrative and diplomatic officer in 1977, and served in several ministries and government departments at federal level as well as with the Perak state government.

In 1999, he voluntarily retired from his government positions to venture into the private sector.

He was appointed a member of the board of trustees of Yayasan Waqaf Malaysia (in 2021), chairman of MRCB Land Sdn Bhd (2022) and chairman of Metropolitan Utilities Sdn Bhd (since 1993).

His other roles include advisor and chief executive of the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (2007-2009), chairman of Bernama (2004-2010), executive director of Berjaya Corporation Berhad (2001-2004), member of the board of directors of Malaysia Airline System Berhad (2005 -2011), PLUS Expressways Berhad (2007-2012), Tropicana Corporation Berhad (2010-2015), member of the board of directors (independent and non-executive) Manulife Holdings Berhad, Manulife Insurance Berhad and Manulife Investment Management (M) Berhad (2011-2020) ).
