MRT Kajang line disrupted due to train breakdown

PETALING JAYA: Commuters on the MRT Kajang line faced delays on Monday (March 27) morning due to technical issues between the Pusat Bandar Damansara and Phileo Damansara stations.

In a post on its official Twitter account, Rapid KL said at 8.55am that a train between the two stations was facing brake issues and power problems and repairs were being done immediately.

After 9am, it said that alternative train services were being provided for commuters.

This involved trains from Kwasa Damansara turning back at Phileo Damansara, while trains from the other end of the line at Kajang would turn back at the Semantan station.

Rapid KL added that a different “intermediate train” would run between Phileo Damansara and Semantan, where the repair works are ongoing.

The situation was fixed at around 9.30am when Rapid KL tweeted that the brake issues and power supply problems had been resolved.

“The alternative and intermediate train services have ended. The service schedule is back to normal,” it said.
