MELAKA: Outgoing Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali was spotted entering his office at Seri Negeri in Ayer Keroh here on Thursday (March 30) morning.
A staff member at Seri Negeri who requested anonymity said Sulaiman came to his office to only bid farewell to his officials and not for work.
"This will be his (Sulaiman) final visit to Seri Negeri," the employee said.

In a message sent to The Star on Wednesday (March 29), Sulaiman extended his gratitude for the support rendered throughout his tenure as chief minister.
Meanwhile, Melaka Opposition chief and Melaka Perikatan Nasional chairman Dr Mohd Yadzil Yaakub in a statement said he respected the decision by Sulaiman to relinquish his post.
He said as an Opposition member, he will continue with the "check and balance" mechanism to monitor the new state government that was expected to be formed in the next few days.

Dr Mohd Yadzil, who is also Bemban assemblyman, said he hoped that the new Chief Minister would continue to bring economic progress to the state as well as find a solution to the rising cost of living in the state.
Sulaiman Md Ali had stepped down as Melaka Chief Minister and his resignation was confirmed by Deputy Prime Minister and Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on Wednesday (March 29).
