Cops seeking motorist who scattered nails on Batu Gajah road


IPOH: Police are tracking down the owner of a car over an incident where a motorist tossed nails on a road in Baru Gajah, footage of which went viral on social media.

Batu Gajah district police chief ACP Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif said the incident is believed to have occurred at the traffic lights of Jalan Ipoh-Lumut/Pusing near Batu Gajah.

"We also received a police report from a road user who said that his car tyre was punctured when driving on the road.

"The Batu Gajah District police headquarters criminal investigation department has opened an investigation paper under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief," he said here on Saturday (April 1).

Mohamad Roy Suhaimi said the owner of the vehicle is being traced for further investigation.
