PETALING JAYA: The new Melaka state executive council line-up will consist of leaders from the various parties under the present unity government, said recently sworn-in Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusof (pic).
Ab Rauf said the upcoming line-up of the Melaka state executive council will be inclusive.
“I will ensure that the newly-formed exco line-up is inclusive and reflective of the Unity Government in Putrajaya,” said Ab Rauf in a Facebook post on Friday (March 31).
Ab Rauf also said that all ongoing plans and developments that are beneficial to the people will be continued to stimulate the state’s economy.
“This state government is pro-business and pro-reform,” added Ab Rauf.
Ab Rauf said that the people of Melaka are hungry for development, with many wanting to see better hospital and school facilities, as well as business and employment opportunities.
At the same time, Ab Rauf said the new state government’s 100-day plan will create efforts in generating more investment and employment for Melaka.
“Melaka also needs better infrastructure, which includes better water supplies, roads and among others,” added Ab Rauf.

Meanwhile, Ab Rauf also thanked Melaka Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Mohd Ali Rustam for swearing him in as the 13th chief minister.
Ab Rauf also thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for entrusting him as the new chief minister.
“I pledge to carry out this duty with full commitment to develop our beloved state,” said Ab Rauf.
“I also thanked Datuk Seri Sulaiman Ali who has led Melaka since March 2020.
On March 29, Ahmad Zahid announced that Sulaiman had stepped down as Melaka Chief MInister.
Sulaiman was sworn in as the 12th Melaka chief minister on March 9, 2020 after the former Pakatan Harapan administration collapsed.
