AN abandoned teachers’ hostel of a secondary school is said to be haunted, reported China Press.
The six blocks of four-storey buildings built for the teachers of SMK Labis in Johor have been left vacant since the project was completed in 2008.
However, passers-by said they spotted “people” inside the premises and heard weird sounds coming from it. There has been talks among the locals that the hostel has been occupied by spirits from a nearby cemetery.
A resident said he didn’t dare go near the place at night after being “disturbed” several times.
“I once saw the silhouette of a person near the window of a unit and when I was about to go near to see it clearly, I heard a weird sound like woman crying,” he added.
Another resident has hoped that the Education Ministry would arrange for the teachers to move in to the hostel soon, so that the over RM1mil project would not go to waste.
> The daily also reported that Hong Kong actor Michael Tse has revealed his most unforgettable moment in a career that spans over 30 years.
Tse, 56, who started as a dancer, said it took place in 1991 when he performed on stage, wearing only a T-back underwear.
He was a backup dancer for Cantopop star Sandy Lam then.
“When I was told that I could only wear a red underwear like one that the Superman wears, I struggled for a long time but later, I decided to give it a try after some words of encouragement from other dancers,” he added.
> Nanyang Siang Pau reported that a five-year-old boy was killed after a man, who fell from the 29th floor of an apartment, landed on him.
The child was playing on his skate board during the Wednesday evening’s incident at a residential area in Xian city of China.
He was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead later.
The 35-year-old adult, who landed on the boy, died on the spot.
