A total of 97 Tamil schools reportedly received RM12.3mil in August and September of 2020 for refurbishment and repair works.

Each school received between RM12,000 and RM800,000, with 34 schools receiving more than RM100,000.

The report said 17 schools which received more than RM100,000 had misspent the money.

> Thirty-six people were killed in India when a floor gave way, causing them to fall into a disused well, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The incident happened during a celebration at a temple in Indhur, Madya Pradesh.

The chaotic rescue effort that followed contributed to further injuries. One video showed a woman being hoisted up, then falling again into the well as the rope lifting her snapped.
