Man found dead, woman unconscious in car in Semporna


KOTA KINABALU: A 40-year-old man was found dead inside a car in Semporna on Friday (April 7).

Also found inside the vehicle was an unconscious 25-year-old local woman who was sent to the Semporna district hospital for treatment.

His condition is reported to be stable, said district police chief Supt Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah.

He said police received a report at 9.10am after some people found the two in a parked car in front of a shop lot near the Semporna bus station.

"Both families of the victims have been notified.

"The deceased was an IMM13 document holder. The cause of his death has not been ascertained pending an autopsy," said Supt Mohd Farhan, adding that the case has been classified as sudden death.
