Sawit Kinabalu hands RM11.16mil dividend payment to Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Sawit Kinabalu Group, a Sabah government-linked company has paid the third interim dividend payout for 2022, totaling RM11.16mil, to the state on Thursday (April 13).

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who is Sawit Kinabalu chairman, witnessed the mock cheque handing over ceremony from Sawit Kinabalu managing director Datuk Bacho Jansie to state secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong, held in conjunction with the group's buka puasa event.

With the latest payout, the group has paid a total of RM27.9mil to the state government for the year 2022, said Hajiji in a statement.

He also took the opportunity to commend Sawit Kinabalu for being one of the state's high-performing GLCs and urged the group to continue striving for excellence and contributing to Sabah's socio-economic growth.

Earlier during the day, Hajiji also chaired the group's board meeting.
