HR minister's aide worked for me from 2006-2008 when I was MP, says Kula

IPOH: The aide to the Human Resources Minister who was detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) did not work under M. Kulasegaran when he was the minister in 2018.

The Ipoh Barat MP said the aide had only worked for him between 2006 and 2008.

"I employed him from 2006 to 2008 to do work for me while I was the MP.

"During that period, I found he was incompatible in my pursuit to serve the rakyat thus he was removed from that position," Kulasegaran said in a statement while asking a Chinese daily to do a correction on the matter today (April 15).

The Chinese daily had reportedly said that the aide had served Kulasegaran when he was the minister five years ago.

The aide, along with a foreign worker recruitment agent, were detained on Thursday (April 13) in connection with a case involving the recruitment of foreign workers.
