Singaporean minister Dr Maliki Osman on working visit to Kelantan, Terengganu


SINGAPORE: Singapore's Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Maliki Osman will make a working visit to Kelantan and Terengganu from Saturday (April 15) until April 19.

"The visit is part of Singapore’s efforts to strengthen our longstanding relations with Malaysian states and explore new areas of cooperation,” the republic’s Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

The ministry said Maliki will have audiences with the Sultan of Terengganu Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, and the Tengku Mahkota of Kelantan Dr Tengku Muhammad Faiz Petra.

The minister will also meet Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, and other leaders in both states, said MFA.

In addition to meeting government officials, Maliki - who is also Singapore Second Minister for Education -will engage local students at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. - Bernama
